Survey

Survey Results











The results from the survey has given me a bigger insight to the fact not as many people understand about The Body Shops five core values. I think this is a shame as the brand take alot of pride in doing so. I now know my design must incorporate all these areas which The Body Shop lacks.

How can i help the brand get the point across?
I need to create a design which hits people in the face and doing so i need to make it very clear what i am trying to do.

Did my survey work?

I think this survey has given me a much clearer insight to what people no and dont no. I could of changed the questions slightly to make them easier to understand but the outcome i got back was fantastic and i thank everyone who helped me coming to my conclusion.

Concept 3


Hidden logos, i really wanted to create a new hidden logo but most the ideas i come up with, someone had already come up with. I still feel very creative knowing i come up with these ideas on my own..... just someone beat me to it. 


Going with the style of Art Nouveau... I really started to enjoy making these designs, but unfortunately people preferred the other concepts and thought this work was un original. 


So i decided to take the advise given and add the style of Si Scott into my work, but again people liked the design but didn't like the concept. Back to the drawing board on these i think.

refining idea - final concept

Ok, So i have decided to go with concept one, the reason for this is because when i did the survey not many people knew about the brands core values. I think as The Body Shop really prides itself on being socially responsible i need to target this area more with my designs.

First idea onto computer

 

Looking through my concepts i have decided to take this design to the next step. I instantly think this design is powerful and attractive. Using a childish piece lets the viewer get interested in the product before finding out the powerful meaning.

Just so i don't have people questioning me about where i got the fonts from, I downloaded them from DA FONT.

Next stage


After my first digital design, i decided to fill up the blank space a bit more as it looked too spacious. I am finding it hard to find a suitable background colour. I will need to select a neutral colour so it doesn't clash with any of the font colours.

Final front cover for box


This will be my final front cover to the packaging box. I decided to keep the background colour white as all the colours i used in the fonts were strong enough. I also added an extra border around the design to give it more depth. I really like this design, it is very strong and the meaning behind the design hits the viewer in the face without them instantly realising.

Stage one - packaging template and design.

After looking at all types of packaging templates, I couldnt decide which one would suit my design best. I was looking at packaging boxes i have around the house and i found the I phone box. I really liked how simple the design was and how Apple used raised stickers rather than screen printing. So my idea is going to be based on the I phone Box, and i will stick the design onto my box.


As i am still unsure what information i am going to put on the template, i will upload the first stage.

Extended brief

When i looked at the survey i noticed alot of people didnt understand what The Body Shop was all about. So i think making a flyer with all the core values on the back would be the best way to increase the awareness of what the brand stand for.
